• Something To Hear

I’m getting antsy. My new record,
“Something to Say,” is releasing on January 15th, and as the date
gets closer, I become more and more impatient. I can’t wait for you to hear the new music! So, I’m not going to. I’ve decided to post a new song from the new
record on my myspace page for you to hear before the album comes out.

    So, every
Friday check back at my page to hear a new song from “Something To Say.” And every Friday I’ll try to post a blog that
gives a little story behind the song you’re hearing.
    The first
song I’m posting from the new album (besides “You Are Everything”) is a song
called, “The Motions.” This song has
really become a soundtrack for what I’ve been through in recent months with my
surgery and recovery. The first lines of
    the song rang so true:

    This might hurt
    It’s not safe
But I know that I’ve gotta make a
    change
    I don’t care if I break
At least I’ll be feeling something

Trials force movement. Pain makes you feel. Losing my
voice, facing surgery and silence, and the uncertainty of my future did that for
me. God used this experience in my life
to pull me out of the typical ‘Christian’ life of going through “the
    motions.”
I hope this song will encourage people to live life to the
fullest, filled with a Passion for God that is greater than any passion in
    life.

    Romans 12:2
“Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world. But be
transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

I love it!! I kinda needed to hear this in a strange way, and ironicly you posted it the same day as when I heard yall sing in Brookhaven. It was my third time to see you, NewSong, AND Todd Agnew. I swear yall get better each time. -Chikita
