It’s new music Friday, and I have posted another new song on my myspace from "Something to Say," for you to hear before it comes out on 1/15. I hope you like it. Here is the story behind the song. Also, below I posted the second of 7 webisodes we took from my documentary titled Nothing To Say. Hope you enjoy and check back for a new song and video next week!

    “The Center”

The men of the yellow table meet early every Thursday morning.  Seven AM is a sacred time.  There are three of us.  We meet at the same breakfast eatery in the same small town at the same yellow table in the back for a morning of prayer and biscuits.  These men are more than friends.  They are encouragers, accountability partners, perspective givers, they are life-doers.

We all have separate lives, families, careers, problems, and issues.  And some weeks we’re crawling just to make it to Thursday.  But something happens at the yellow table.  Something special.  See, we’re not meeting together just to give each other support or advice.  We’re meeting every week because we want to be better husbands, fathers, workers, and followers of Christ.  And as we pray for each other every morning one of us might leave with a bit more clarity on a sticky situation at work.  Another might walk away knowing he needs to apologize first to his wife.  And another might leave committed to rearrange his priorities.  This is the power of God at work at the yellow table.

We’ve seen prayers answered, dreams discovered, and strongholds broken.  And this is the prayer we prayer every Thursday before we leave the yellow table.  “God, keep us in the center of your will.”  A simple prayer on the surface, but we’ve discovered that this is a dangerous prayer.  It seems that the battle heats up when we set a course for the center of God’s will for our lives.

You don’t need a yellow table to pray this prayer.  You don’t need biscuits to be encouraged.  But you do need accountability in life.  It is so important.  And you do need to remember that being in the center of God’s will for your life won’t be easy, but there’s no better place to be.
