    "For God so loved the world, He gave HIs only Son…"

    And this is the reason we recognize Good Friday.  Because the greatest gift in the history of mankind was given to us by our creator.  Our Father in Heaven sent his one and only son to earth to bear the sin of the world on a cross.  He died for you, and for me.  

    "That whosoever should believe in Him should not perish…"

    This is that is asked of us in return.  BELIEVE.  It's that simple.  There are no other rules, or qualifications.  The sacrifice Christ made on the cross was not reserved only for the wealthy, or the higher class.  And it doesn't come with any strings attached.  Simply BELIEVE God loves you this much, and you will not die.

    "But have eternal life."

    And the greatest sacrifice ever made, brings the most wonderful promise ever made.  The promise that our lives on this earth are only a glimpse in the eye of eternity.  Our time on earth will come and go before we know it, but this world is not our final destination.  These words of John 3:16 are the promise to those who BELIEVE that eternal life with with our Savior in Heaven is waiting.   

    Don't forget the gift you've been given on Good Friday.

      And I can’t wait to celebrate the second part of the gift…Jesus rose again on the third day. Then there’s the third part…also known as the second coming (that will be an awesome day when it comes).

      Just a short note how your song “The Motions” has impacted my life. I cannot remember most recently a song challening me more like “The Motions.” I have worn out your CD listening to it. I incorportated the song in a message that I preached a few weeks ago entitled “Hard Hearts. I am convinced that we go through “The Motions” when we allow our hearts become hard before God. Thanks for a great CD and a great song. (P.S. I am Matt Hammitt from Sanctus Real’s former youth pastor.)

      Hi Matthew West!
      God Bless you for all that you do through your music and teaching. I’ve been so encouraged through your songs and I love your passion for God. You know, I am so glad that our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has died on the cross for our sins just so we can have life and have it more abundantly.
      Also, I was so inspiried by your song “The Motions” that I made a piano version of it and put it up on youtube!
