Streams of Living Water
October 31, 2009 - Comments (8)I must make this my prayer when I’m out on the road. I must pray that when I speak to these crowds, I am not going alone. My devotional today said that if we respond to other’s needs through our unaided thought process, we offer them “dry crumbs.” But when the spirit empowers your listening and speaking, streams of living water flow through us to other people. There have been times on stage when I have attempted to proceed “unaided” in my efforts to reach people. And while I know God is able to use me in spite of me, I do feel like I come up empty sometimes.
This is my heart’s cry right now. Lord, don’t let me step on stage tonight unaided by you. I need you. I need you to help me speak, I need you to help me listen. I need you! Let your streams of living water flow through me.
“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow

It is through voices like yours that we receive the living word! What’s so amazing to me is that when I listen to you sing — I feel so much closer to God! Thank you so much for continuing to be a true messenger of God: Singing, praising, and doing His word! Praise God for flooding the world with His Word through your voice!!!

Matthew, I love to hear you speak. Your words are never empty to me. As a matter of fact every time I attend a show my heart and faith renews over and over again. I love the way God speaks to my heart through yours. Words are never in vain. Keep in mind that if your words can reach just one person each night your heart has done it’s job.
Love and Light,
Amber

Hey Matthew – Thanks for sharing your thoughts and sharing your love of Christ through your music last night in Flint. It was great meeting you and your dad! God’s blessings to you as you wrap up your time in Michigan! Peace! Joe

Matthew, On the 2 hr. drive South to Flint, Michigan I told my 16 yr. old daughter, Jessica, that the Spirit of God would have a message to me through Matthew West, and being a Christian 7 years could not figure out what a young man I’ve never heard of before could say that I haven’t read in the “Word”. Then when you spoke about people going thru “Church” motions–it struck me and the tears flowed. Even what you said about teenages going thru “School” motions touched the spirit of Jessica. We are such a blessed people; “In ALL THINGS give praise and thanksgiving” God is so KIND AND LOVING!! On a spiritual high all the way home, Love in Christ Jesus, Diane
