Our church has been collecting non-perishable foods for the past few weeks. We will distribute it to needy families in our community right before New Year’s Day. Our outreach ministry has noticed many families are scratching together all that they have for Christmas so we decided to help provide for the time afterward, when children are still home from school on vacation. For some of the children in our community, the school meals are the only decent food they can count on.
