So, I’ve been on the phone all morning talking about the new song, “Save a Place for Me,” and the new site dedicated to remembering loved one’s who have passed away.  The site is www.matthewwest.com/saveaplace.  But it you’re reading this blog at my site, well, then you’re already here.  Just click on the community link and scroll down.

We created this section of the site as sort of a memorial wall.  Here, you can post a picture of someone you love that you’ve had to say goodbye to.  I think a lot of times, we don’t let ourselves really deal with the hard parts of life that come our way, like the loss of someone we love.  I know my tendency is to move on too quickly from a tragedy or difficult time, and tell myself I’m alright.  But I do believe that mourning is healthy, and I hope this will be a place of healing for someone who is still mourning their loss.

Already, I’ve been reading the stories of people who’s pics have been posted.  Very moving.  Soon, we will have devotional resources as well, that you can read through from some of my favorite authors and pastor friends.
