• First Show on the Tour

    What an awesome night it was! First show of the tour always finds me tied up in knots, excited, nervous etc… Tonight was different though. The excitement? yes! The nerves, not so much. I think I’m just so pumped to be sharing these new stories and songs with everybody, and my band is so awesome, there’s not much else to be nervous about! So, that’s a good feeling.

    There were some amazing moments that took place tonight. Both Jonny Diaz and Josh Wilson were incredible. Connected with the crowd in really unique ways. If you haven’t seen them live yet, you must.

    My friend, Rob Dempsey from HIS Radio was the MC for the show, but little did he know he would become an even bigger part of the show.

    We were backstage before the show, recording a radio interview, and off air Rob began sharing some of his testimony with me, and I was blown away. So, I asked him to share his story with the crowd at the end of the night tonight, and you could’ve heard a pin drop. To me, it was the perfect ending to a perfect night. I really believe people were blown away by the power of a personal story.

    If the rest of the tour is anything like night #1, then we are in store for a special 2 months. Thank you God, for the chance to make music, May you always get every ounce of the credit…

     

    PS, There were sightings of Cabin Mouse at the show, but I have been unable to capture him yet. Be on the lookout if you come to a show this weekend, and report back to me what you see. -mw

      All of you have such wonderful personalities. The concert was amazing. I feel blessed to have been a part of your first show of this tour and your songs have touched my heart in ways that you could never imagine. Thank you Lord for giving Matthew, Johnny, and Josh their amazing talent of delivering your message to all of us. May the rest of your tour be as great as the first show was.
