Hi Matthew;
I was deeply moved by your story and recently had an experience similar to yours, as I went through open heart surgery on October 6, 2010.
During my time in the hospital, I had a chance to reflect on many things. You see, like you, God has blessed me more than I could ever imagine and approximately 1 year ago, we held a concert with a good friend (Paul Baloche and Jared Anderson). I am not sure if you know Paul, if so, please dont hesitate to verify what I am saying. Nevertheless, we held a concert and drew over 1,200 people in a small town called Marlton, N.J. (about 12 miles outside of Philadelphia.)
The purpose of the concert was to raise money for Haiti. And I can tell you that we raised over $43,000 for the Haiti relief efforts. All of the moeny was donated to a Christian organization called Hope Alive clinics. They 5 clinics in Haiti and are funded and supported by Pastor Harry Thomas of Come Alive church. You may have heard of Pastor Harry through his organization called “Creation Concerts”.
If you have an interest, I would love to sponsor a concert with you. We will pay all expenses. Please let me know. Also, you can call any of the people above to verify what I am telling you. Should you wish, please call me at 16095044704. Or e-mail me at rjstewart@eci-coal.com.
Thanks for receiving my mail. May God continue to bless you and your ministry.
Sincerely,
Russ

I wish there were more people like you in this world. I have looked high and low for help with my son who is 34, married with two boys ages 15 and 12. My son has Melanoma cancer and in stage IV. I have looked for assistance but have come up empty handed. DAX’s family is a really lucky family to have you to help raise big money for the bills, food, etc. And their whole town helping. It is truly wonderful. My son is on an experimental drug now after going through chemo and radiation. Some days he sick some days are better but he has to continue to work to try to make ends meet. Thank you ever so much for your part in Dax’s life. God will surely bless you for it.

Mathew,
I was at your concert for Dax in Washington on the 30th., with my daughter Kelly Revallo , who was one of the girls who sent you the Dax story. I am a professional musician and teacher myself, but I was really moved by your inspiring performance and sincerity at this performance, not to mention your generosity. I have to be honest , I usually go to Tommy Emanuel, Eric Clapton, type concerts, but I can tell you you have made me a Mathew West fan now. Keep up the good work.!!
