Hello, Matthew! I became a fan when I heard about your invitation for folks to send in their stories as you prepared to begin your cabin songwriting adventure. I’ve been so blessed by your songs — actually, your heart behind the songs — and tremendously appreciate your ministry.
Your artist bio on KLOVE.com says that you planned to follow a career path, but that God had another plan for you involving music. How did you KNOW that God wanted you to change career paths? How did God communicate this to you? What was required of you to receive God’s message? Was it difficult to change directions?
The idea of hearing God’s voice and being sure it IS His voice is sort of puzzling and difficult to explain. I’m interested in your perspective and any insight you might offer as an adult who has “heard” from God and followed His alternate path for your life.
